Dear Friends in Xanga world

Sorry I have not posted here in quite sometime....I tend to gravitate toward myspace and I am on that more occassionally.

To update on our lives:

Isabelle is now 3 1/2 and Alaina is 20 mths old. Time is flying and the girls are getting so big and they are tons of fun. They have spent a lot of time at Grammie and Papa Land's this spring and summer. We are expecting baby girl (yes, another little princess) Trevino to arrive around November 21st. 15 weeks left to go and I am counting down but not really. This pregnancy has flown by thus far, and I think it is because the girls and all that I have going on keep me plenty busy.

Chano and I are still the Jr. high youth directors at Guts church. We opened a new building before summer hit and have enjoyed a fun summer with jr high kids. Such a great and fun age to work with. If you are in Tulsa and are needing a church to plug into - we highly recommend getting planted in a church body and we highly recommend Guts church, if you are looking :)

Let's see - we spent a week in Oregon this summer. Chano was in a good friend's wedding and we decided to make a family vacation out of it. It was fun to see Chano's mom and dad, sister brother and families. We have 4 nephews out there- they got ALL the boys over that way so far! 

As of now- we are trying to beat the Oklahoma heat (102 today) and stay cool.

The Trevino's

 Well, the holidays have passed- winter hit in full force and we keep trucking on over here. :)

My youngest daughter turned one on Dec 29th and has begun to walk. She still looks to small to walk, she definately got our "short" genes.  My oldest daughter will be turning 3 in March. Time is flying by and I am enjoying the moments as much as I can.

Life is going well with us and I mainly wanted to update to say hello and please check us out on MYSPACE if you would like.

The Van

 Well, we purchased a mini-van this past Saturday. Let's just say  "Zoom-Zoom". :) Just a little hint for those of you who watch TV. We went with the Mazda MPV....we got a great deal at Bob Hurley ford (it helps to know the owners). It is a 2005~ here are some pictures. This is from an add-but it is this color and looks like this.

 I really enjoy driving it and the girls like it too.

I like the space...here are the girls enjoy it. :)

Car Debate

There comes a time in every woman's life where she must decide-as a mom-what type of car/suv/van etc is right for her life.

In my life, this has come.  AHHH....am I ready?

For the past month Chano and I have been sharing our car, as we gave one car, my faithful little neon away to a youth leader that works with us. We have decided that 2 cars are necessary for us.

 My biggest debate was could I go for the ever present soccer mom vehicle of the mini-van...I fought and fought this for a long time...and I finally came to the conclusion that yes, this is the most practical (2 sliding door) car for a mom on the go with 2 children in carseats. We are on the look and I will keep you posted as to what type of minivan we purchase. :)

Life

Yes, I know- it has been months since I have updated xanga. To be quite honest- I have  been using myspace instead. Sorry to all of you who haven't joined that - because I have missed communicating with you all.

Life is going well for the Trevino family.

Isabelle is now 2 1/2. She says her ABCs and counts to 10- she is quite the performer for her family-but a little shy around new people. She keeps us on our toes as she is in the 2 stage and is pushing her boundaries to the maximum. :)

Alaina is almost 8 mths. She is getting ready to crawl. She is almost there- but has to exert a little more effort. :) She says mama and dada. She has kept her blue eyes and she is referred to by her daddy as the white baby of the family. :) I will attach some pictures for your enjoyment.

We are still the Jr. high youth directors at Guts church. We are opening an indoor skatepark August 30th and having a back to school bash to kick off the year. We both are enjoying working with this age group and there are a lot of fun kids in our lives. We could not ask to be plugged in to a better church.
